Backlogs and MORE Backlogs

Before I knew it, the last time I blogged was almost 2 weeks ago. And within these 2 weeks, so much had happened.

I went for a course, I facilitated 3 sessions of photo shoot for Prisons Annuals 2010, collated and conducted a labour meeting within 3 working days from notice, coordinated and went for a site recce for Prisons Family Day 2011…

All these, while my OC went on long MC.

The part where my OC is away perhaps play a major part. Without him around, someone has to take over his role. While I am not the most experienced around to do so, I thought I would seize the chance to ‘role-play’ so I can have an idea how to UP my Performance Grade. The obstacle was… We were short of staff these 2 weeks, no thanks to the school holidays and its after-effects.

And speaking of PG, I received my Performance Bonus! woohoo!! Yep, it was a shame that I could only get a C, due to my promotion last year; the difference in quantum for a grade higher was more than a month! haiz…

I do hope SG’s economy grows at a blistering rate this year and the Special Variable Component continues. Or perhaps, that this year’s GE gets delayed due to unforeseen circumstances lol

hmmm… I still have backlogs to do. haiz… how?? How?? How am I to attain B or better when I could not meet deadlines??

I still have a note taking duty to do, to wrap up the Annuals, settle the Family Day, hand over my Labour portfolio and make master plans for the next FY for my Welfare portfolio. Not to mention having to be hold some Cluster level portfolios… hmmm… Am I complaining? If I have some idea where I am getting to, perhaps I will not. The sad fact remains that considering that I am still not eligible for promotion, the increase in workload only serves to show that I am being loaded for free. haiz…

Anyways, the IFPI result was out for HK 2010, and Mi was a big winner!! I am glad for her, that she finally saw results for her effort.

Last year, cos of her, I decided to put in my best too. I have not seen the results, but I know I will eventually. Secretly, I hope that day comes soon
