I finally got Wii. I had wanted to own one since I took the gaming module in late 2007. 1 and a half years have since passed, I lost the interest when the price for the console (only) remained at $400 till last Dec (and I was not taking home any income). When it finally dropped to $278, I was tempted, but I am bogged down by training.
Then xx came along and jio-ed me to buy one with him, so I did lor.
We went to Funzquare, which was highly recommended on the net for reliability and friendly staff. The shop is situated in Far East Plaza, facing the road, directly over Carl’s Junior/Subway.
The console itself was converted from Korean version (flashed into English/US). We added $30 to modify it to play pirated a wide variety of games. Added $25 for extended hardware warranty to 2 years, $65 for an extra nanchuk+Wii control and I bought a game (Raving Rabbids 1) for $49. In all, I spent $439 for the whole package, not to mention the lifetime software guarantee. Nice ~
But oh… I bought an ‘international plug’ at $5.90 cos the Korean plug just could not fit into my house’s socket, and it could not ‘eat into’ normal 2-pin extension plug.

The game was simple, but addictive. It consists of mini-games (single screen playing) per level, which would open up an RPG type of boss level to free a buddy. The rabbids are crazy, with crooked teeth and cock-eyes. Their weapons are crockeries, though mainly consist of the toilet pump. I bought the 1st version, which I think is quite pixelated (even for its transition trailers). I expect the 2nd instalment that xx bought to be better in graphics.
But STILL, the game is fun.

I know, some time sooner or later, the Wii will fall into the desolation, suffering similar fate as my PSP. Now, with 2 gaming consoles, how am I going to split my time to playing it? Not to mention I have to make use of my MP3 player on bus trips and to spend time on writing. hmmm… I just made my life busier.
But THEN, I hope my Wii can enhance my friendships. haha… WHEN I buy my own TV (cos right now, I can only play it when my sis(es) are not watching TV), I can then invite my friends over for a game or two. This can replace our meet-ups outside home. lol That is, if people want to come to Punggol lah…

p/s: I hope you guys notice that the title of this entry is a mirror image lol
p/s2: my sis are better at shooting, and YES, I’ve secured a 60% investment on this Wii… hehe…
