Little Updates

I hope so lah… haha…

__11:30am _

I was in a terribly foul mood this morning. PMS bah. Yesterday, my 4413 project mate wanted someone to write intro for our report, and I was feeling guilty for not replying. Guess what? I dreamt that I mailed him to tell him why I didn’t want to write the intro. I used the style I learned in the assertive class and stuff like that. I think I spent half my sleeping time dreaming of drafting that e-mail.

shit…

Then, when I came to the lab, I realized my new terminal was kapoked by a PRC. And guess what?? He was running 5 terminals at a go! If he wants computing power, go ask for a supercomputer! The rest of the lab was reserved somehow by some people, with their bags/sweater hanging there overnight.

Whatever.

So I had to shift to the 2nd room.

And I was super pissed.

I had been stuck in my circuit testing and all these things must happen.

But then, I actually found the MINOR mistake I did in my code: I missed a ‘-’, meaning my 1×10^-6 became 1×10^6! ARRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH ! ! !

That mistake cost me 4 days and a sarcasm attack by my prof.

Yesterday, I went to him for help and he pointed out one mistake I made (which made no difference, cos the REAL mistake was in the negative sign), which was that I forgot to connect a node to ground (connecting it to ground or not made no difference to the curve). He was like saying:

I thought you said you checked?

I don’t agree with the idea that when someone makes a mistake, he is supposed to know it. If he knows it, or knows how to spot it, he wouldn’t have made the mistake, right?

I may have a mistake, but since I was the one who created it, it would seem OK to my eyes. The only way I could see it was to take a bloody long time, whether I was searching for it on purpose. But main thing is, if a 3rd party was to be engaged to help find, he would be able to spot the mistake faster than I will, which was why I asked him for help.

ah… Whatever.

People in general just like to dwell on the fact that someone made a mistake and could not spot it, rather than working on the matter at hand.

But as of last night, I am left with 2 chapters (1 full chapter of Analysis and another chapter made up from parts here and there, excluding Conclusion). My figures and tables are all up to date, so are the lists for them. My appendixes are half complete…

BUT I still have a technical paper to write.

Damn!

Went for driving lesson just now. 2 more days to practical, and yet my mistakes are neverending. Her -4. there -6… haiz…

Met prof. oh… It’s getting technical,and I don’t feel like explaining.

Came back to work on the curves. Managed to do what he wanted, cos I was only working on the old, established devices. Then, I realized something about the model I created.

I don’t even dare to think about it anymore. I don’t even dare to tell my prof what I discovered.

All the work gone down the drain…

And I decided to forgo Lab 2 of EE4102. It’s a 100% programming lab. WTF! Who has time for C programming NOW?? One idiotic programming will take 1.5 days, why will I sacrifice my FYP for that 5%? So it’s off to the dumps…

And then, I received one update from THAT MODULE’s mate. Not the MIA one. The MC one. I said in the e-mail to keep the slides on their parts short, cos each person got only 3 minutes. He go and write essay in the slides (SUPER TYPICAL OF ENGG STUDENTS), for SIX slides. From the way I see, he will spend half an hour on his part.

I GIVE UP ON THESE PEOPLE ! !

__8:36pm _

Just went to check my blog stats… My post on Ken Lee suddenly surged from a daily average of 3 to 51 today. There were no search engine terms for it… Which means people came here knowing there’s a video on it? Come on! Who is it? So desperate, watch it 48 times! haha… That video is interesting, but watching 48 times repeatedly is over le… lol

__9:53pm _

I declare my Chapter 3 as complete. 1.5 more chapters!!!
